The Nebraska Corn Board was established in 1978 with the approval of the corn checkoff. Since that time, corn producers in Nebraska and across the United States have gotten better at growing corn. In fact, corn production in Nebraska has more than doubled since then. This increased production means we have to find and develop new markets and new uses for corn while supporting traditional corn markets. The Nebraska Corn Board manages the checkoff investment by striving to connect corn producers to their customers, new products and markets, important research and policymakers on Capitol Hill. We aim to capture the greatest value for corn producers amidst an ever-changing industry. All of this is important work, the efforts of which Nebraska corn producers support through their corn checkoff.
